 | | | M.O.E. - Ministry of Encouragement
This ministry, made up volunteers, is designed to do just what its name implies by offering encouragement in various ways to meet the needs of church members as well as those in the community. Encouragers with a heart for sharing, giving, caring, and encouraging are always welcome in this ministry. See Gail Reid for more information.
Friendly Visitor Ministry - Encouragers regularly visit "In-Home" members who are no longer able to participate in church activities due to ill health or age related problems. Providing a visit can ease the pain of loneliness experienced by many people and provides a way of learning their needs.
Food Ministry - Food is provided by volunteers for families at times of death or in illness as an act of encouragement or to supply a need.
Handyman Ministry - This ministry of capable men can provide help with small projects or repairs around a house. Many jobs seem so small but are so important in the safety of the resident.
Nursing Home Party Ministry - Refreshments and entertainment are provided at a nursing home monthly at a party for all residents but honoring those who celebrated a birthday that month.
Other ministries provided by MOE:
Auto Maintenance Ministry - A volunteer mechanic may check a car to keep a minor problem from becoming a major one. Small repairs like oil changes, winterization, and advice/consultation is given especially for single women. Purchase of parts is not provided. Call the church to set up an appointment.
50 plus Anniversary Ministry - A rosebud is given in recognition of wedding anniversaries over fifty years.
90 plus Birthday Recognition Ministry - Recognition is given in honor of church members celebrating 90 plus years of age.
Financial Assistance Ministry - In times of need, financial assistance can be requested.
